Risks

Take positions only with ANYONE you can afford to lose. This page is a summary; the full text is the Risk Disclosure.

Losing a position

If your outcome loses, your position gets only its rebate. Crypto prices move fast, and a race can change leader in its last hours.

The multiplier is not fixed

The multiplier you see before confirming is an estimate from the pool at that moment. Positions taken after yours change it, and your payout is set by the pool when the market is resolved.

Selling early

A sale is paid at what a buyer offers, which can be less than what you paid. Market makers buy at the position's current value minus their discount. A sale is not always available: if nobody is buying and no pool has room, you hold until the market resolves.

Token value

Everything on ANYONE is paid in ANYONE. Its price can go up or down independently of your positions, so a winning position can be worth less in dollars than expected.

Market making

A market maker's pool takes on the positions it buys. If they lose, the pool loses that money. Money in open positions cannot be withdrawn until those markets end.

Resolution

Markets are resolved from Coinbase Exchange prices. An error or outage at the price source can delay a resolution or lead to a market being NUKEd.

Smart contracts and infrastructure

The contracts can have bugs. Base, the wallet provider, the resolution service or the app can have outages that delay trades, resolutions or claims.

Your account

If you lose access to your sign-in method, you lose access to the wallet linked to it. Signing in with a different method opens a different wallet.
