Risk Disclosure
Using ANYONE involves financial, technical and operational risk.
Before creating a market, taking a position, sharing a market, proposing a resolution or using any other protocol feature, you should understand these risks carefully.
DANGER
You may lose the full amount committed to a market position. Do not participate with funds you cannot afford to lose or keep committed until resolution or cancellation.
1. Market Loss Risk
When you take a position, you choose an outcome that may not occur.
If your selected outcome loses after valid final resolution:
- Your position is not eligible for a winning payout
- The net contribution in the losing outcome pool becomes part of the Rewards Pool for winning shares
- You may lose the full amount committed to that position
ANYONE does not guarantee that any market position will win, generate a payout or be profitable.
2. No Internal Early Exit
ANYONE does not provide an internal early-exit mechanism inside an active PMM market.
Once you take a position, your funds may remain committed until:
- The market resolves and eligible payouts become redeemable
- The market is cancelled through NUKE and eligible refunds become claimable
- You transfer or sell your shares outside the active market, where supported
External transferability does not guarantee:
- A buyer
- Available liquidity
- Recovery of your original contribution
- A favorable sale price
3. Shares and Pricing Risk
When you take a position, you receive shares in the selected outcome according to that outcome's pricing curve.
As participation increases in an outcome, new shares in that same outcome may become more expensive. A larger position may also experience greater Price Impact.
You should understand that:
- Earlier participation may receive more shares than later participation in the same outcome
- More shares do not create a payout unless that outcome wins
- Share pricing is not the same as implied probability
- Implied probability is a market signal, not a prediction guarantee
Always review the shares, fee and Price Impact displayed before confirming a position.
4. Market Creation Risk
ANYONE allows markets to be created by people, Creators, Partners and ANYONE itself.
User-created markets may involve risks including:
- Poorly written questions
- Ambiguous outcomes
- Incomplete cancellation rules
- Weak or unavailable evidence sources
- Undisclosed conflicts
- Attempts to influence or manipulate the underlying event
ANYONE may apply quality controls, policy enforcement, resolution safeguards and cancellation procedures, but cannot guarantee that every published market will be perfectly designed or free from dispute.
Before participating, read the market's question, outcomes, close time and resolution rules for yourself.
5. Creator-Controlled Event Risk
Some markets may be based on a Creator's own content, livestream, challenge, announcement or public action.
In these markets, the Creator may have influence over the underlying event.
Such markets are expected to use safeguards including clear disclosure, public evidence and a close time before the resolving event becomes known. Even with those safeguards, Creator-controlled markets may involve additional integrity risk.
Do not participate if you believe a market gives any party an unfair ability to control or manipulate the outcome.
6. Resolution and Oracle Risk
Markets depend on a resolution process that applies published rules to real-world evidence.
Depending on the market, resolution may rely on:
- Structured data sources
- Official public results
- Public posts, recordings or announcements
- Resolution proposals supported by evidence
- Human review after a challenge
Risks include:
- Incorrect, delayed or unavailable data
- Conflicting public evidence
- Source changes or removed content
- Incorrect resolution proposals
- Disputes or delays before final settlement
- Human error in reviewed resolutions
- A market being too ambiguous to resolve fairly
ANYONE uses its oracle and dispute process to reach valid outcomes where possible. It cannot guarantee that every real-world event will produce immediate or dispute-free resolution.
7. Bonded Resolution and Challenge Risk
For supported evidence-based markets, ANYONE, a Creator or an eligible market participant may propose a resolution by depositing a required bond.
A proposal may be challenged by a party who submits contrary evidence and matches the bond.
If you submit a proposal or challenge:
- Your bond may be lost if your position is determined to be incorrect
- A dispute commission may be deducted where applicable
- Review may take time
- A market may ultimately be NUKEd if no fair resolution can be established
Do not propose or challenge a resolution unless you understand the market rules, have credible evidence and accept the risk to your bond.
8. NUKE and Cancellation Risk
If a market cannot be resolved fairly under its published rules, ANYONE may cancel it through NUKE.
When a market is NUKEd:
- No outcome is declared the winner
- No Rewards Pool is distributed
- Eligible users recover their gross contributions, including charged fees
- Fee-based earnings from that market are voided
- No Final Resolver share is paid
NUKE protects users from a forced outcome in an invalid or unresolvable market. It does not guarantee compensation for external losses, transferred positions, opportunity cost, network costs or other effects outside the cancelled market refund flow.
9. Smart Contract Risk
ANYONE uses smart contracts on Base to operate markets and settlement.
Smart contracts may contain errors, vulnerabilities or unexpected behavior. Technical failures could affect:
- Position creation
- Share balances
- Outcome pools
- Fee allocation
- Resolution or dispute processes
- Redemption
- Refunds
- Transfers, where supported
No software system or smart contract can be guaranteed free from bugs or exploits.
10. Blockchain and Transaction Risk
ANYONE operates on Base.
Blockchain transactions are generally irreversible. You may lose funds if you:
- Send assets to the wrong wallet address
- Select the wrong network
- Send an unsupported asset
- Approve a malicious transaction
- Withdraw to a destination that does not support USDC on Base
Network congestion, interruptions, contract failures or other blockchain conditions may also delay or affect transactions.
WARNING
For standard ANYONE flows, use USDC on Base only and verify every transaction before confirming.
11. USDC Risk
ANYONE uses USDC on Base for positions, payouts and refunds.
USDC is designed to track the value of the U.S. dollar, but it is not risk-free. Risks may include:
- Loss of parity with the U.S. dollar
- Issuer, reserve or banking-partner issues
- Address freezes or restrictions
- Regulatory changes
- Network or bridge-related limitations outside supported ANYONE flows
ANYONE does not issue USDC and does not control its availability, value or issuer actions.
12. Wallet and Account Access Risk
Your USDC and shares are associated with your connected wallet.
You may lose access to funds or positions if you:
- Lose control of an external wallet
- Lose or expose private keys or recovery phrases
- Sign in through a different embedded-wallet method than the one originally used
- Approve a malicious transaction
- Fall victim to phishing or impersonation
ANYONE cannot recover credentials for an external wallet you control and cannot reverse unauthorized blockchain transactions.
DANGER
ANYONE will never ask for your private key, seed phrase, recovery phrase or verification code.
13. Third-Party Service Risk
ANYONE may depend on third-party services for parts of the experience, including:
- Wallet and authentication infrastructure
- Blockchain networks
- USDC infrastructure
- Data sources and oracle inputs
- Funding providers
- Exchanges used for deposits or withdrawals
- Public websites or channels used as evidence
- Telegram community services
These third parties may fail, change their policies, suspend availability, provide incorrect information or suffer security incidents. ANYONE does not control every third-party service involved in your use of the protocol.
14. Creator, Referral and Partner Earnings Risk
Creators, Referrers and Partners may earn from fees generated by eligible market activity.
These earnings are not guaranteed.
Fee-based earnings may be reduced, unavailable or voided if:
- A market uses a 0.00% fee
- The market receives little or no participation
- Activity is not validly attributed
- Activity is found to be manipulative or ineligible
- The market is cancelled through NUKE
- Access is restricted under applicable policies or legal requirements
Creating or distributing a market does not guarantee earnings.
15. Manipulation, Fraud and Misconduct Risk
Although prohibited, users or third parties may attempt to manipulate markets, evidence, referrals, rankings, underlying events or public perception.
Risks include:
- False or misleading market promotion
- Manipulated evidence
- Undisclosed influence over an event
- Self-referral abuse
- Coordinated activity
- Fraudulent accounts
- Phishing or impersonation
- Attempts to influence resolution or challenges improperly
ANYONE may investigate suspected misconduct and take actions under its Terms and policies, but enforcement cannot eliminate all risk before harm occurs.
16. Regulatory and Geographic Risk
Market availability and product functionality may be restricted by location, law, sanctions requirements or compliance risk.
ANYONE may:
- Restrict access from specific jurisdictions
- Restrict market creation or participation
- Require additional verification
- Suspend functionality
- Cancel or restrict markets where required
Access to ANYONE does not mean that use of the protocol is lawful in every jurisdiction. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you.
Review Geographic Restrictions before using the Services.
17. Tax Risk
Your activity on ANYONE may create tax reporting, payment or recordkeeping obligations in your jurisdiction.
ANYONE does not provide tax advice. You are responsible for determining and complying with any tax obligations related to:
- Positions
- Payouts
- Refunds
- Creator earnings
- Referral or Partner earnings
- Resolution bonds or dispute outcomes
- Transfers of shares or USDC
Consider consulting an independent tax professional.
18. Responsible Participation
Markets involving money may lead some users to participate impulsively or beyond their means.
You should stop participating and seek appropriate support if you:
- Commit funds needed for basic expenses
- Try to recover prior losses through larger positions
- Hide your activity from people close to you
- Feel unable to stop
- Experience financial or emotional distress from participation
ANYONE is intended only for adults who can understand and accept the risks of participating.
Your Acknowledgment
By using ANYONE, you acknowledge that:
- You understand markets involve risk of loss
- You may lose the full amount committed to a losing position
- You understand there is no internal early exit from an active PMM market
- You understand Creator-created markets and resolution processes may involve disputes or cancellation
- You understand blockchain transactions may be irreversible
- You are responsible for your wallet, transactions, location eligibility and applicable taxes
- You are not relying on ANYONE for financial, legal, tax or investment advice
ANYONE provides transparent market rules and settlement infrastructure. The decision to create, share, resolve or participate in a market is yours, and so is the risk.
