Market rules
Every market has written rules on its page. The rules say exactly how the winner is decided, and they are fixed when the market is created.
What every market defines
| Question | What the market asks, with the time window in UTC |
| Outcomes | The possible answers: Yes and No |
| Positions close | The last moment you can take a position |
| Resolution source | Where the answer comes from. Today: Coinbase Exchange |
| Resolution rule | How the answer is read, including what happens in a tie |
Where to find them
Open the market and look for Market rules. For a race, the rule reads like this:
Resolved automatically from Coinbase BTC-USD and ETH-USD prices at the open and the close. YES only if Bitcoin's % change is strictly higher; a tie resolves NO.
Times are in UTC
Every time in a market's question and rules is in UTC. The app may show times in your local time zone next to them.
Where markets come from
Markets on ANYONE are created by ANYONE. Market creation is not open to users.
