Daily races
A daily race puts two assets against each other for 24 hours:
Does Bitcoin outperform Ethereum in 24h?
You take Yes (the first asset gains more) or No (the second one does as well or better).
The races
| Race | Question |
|---|---|
| BTC vs ETH | Does Bitcoin outperform Ethereum in 24h? |
| SOL vs XRP | Does Solana outperform XRP in 24h? |
| DOGE vs PEPE | Does Dogecoin outperform Pepe in 24h? |
Every asset that races is listed on Coinbase Exchange with enough daily trading volume. The list of pairs can change; the home page always shows the races that are running.
How a race runs
| Length | 24 hours, from 00:00 UTC to 00:00 UTC the next day |
| Schedule | One race per pair, every day. The next day's race opens for positions a day in advance (Presale) |
| Positions close | 1 hour before the race ends |
| Price source | Coinbase Exchange, each asset's USD pair (for example BTC-USD and ETH-USD) |
| Settles | Automatically, shortly after the race ends |
Who wins
Performance is each asset's percentage change from the start of the race to the end.
| Result | Winning side |
|---|---|
| The first asset's % change is higher | Yes |
| The second asset's % change is higher | No |
| Both change by exactly the same % | No |
"Outperform" means strictly higher. A tie is not a win for the first asset, so it resolves No.
A fall counts too: if Bitcoin drops 1% and Ethereum drops 3%, Bitcoin outperformed and Yes wins.
On the race card
- The chart shows each asset's % change since the race opened, live, with its logo at the tip of its line.
- Ends in is the time left.
- Yes chance is the share of the pool that is on Yes.
- BTC vs ETH can also be watched as a horse race: select Meme on the card.
After the race
The race resolves on its own after it ends. If you won, claim your payout from the home page or Portfolio. See How to claim winnings.
