Are my funds safe?
Where your money is
| Money | Where it is held |
|---|---|
| Your ANYONE balance | Your own smart wallet on Base |
| An open position | The market's pool, inside the market contract |
| A payout waiting to be claimed | The market contract, until you claim it |
| A market maker's pool | That market maker's pool contract |
ANYONE does not keep an internal ledger of your balance: the numbers you see come from the contracts on Base.
What the contracts guarantee
- Each market's pool is separate. Money in one market cannot be used to pay another market.
- Winners are paid by formula. The contract calculates each payout from the amounts on-chain. A winning position held to the end gets back at least what it put in.
- Claims and refunds cannot be paused. Once a market is resolved or NUKEd, what you are owed can always be withdrawn.
- Positions can be sold early when another trader or a market maker pool buys them. See Can I exit early?
What is not guaranteed
- A position on the losing side gets only its rebate.
- The value of ANYONE can change.
- Smart contracts can have bugs.
